Home

We are taking our babies home.

TOMORROW.
Tomorrow morning!

We are taking our babies home tomorrow morning, unless something goes very wrong during the night and our sons forget how to eat.

But that will not happen.

Because we have the best little eaters ever, now that they've gotten the hang of it.

And with a mama who eats like I do (man, I love food) it's not surprising.

Oh, and they're both about 6lbs these days.
And growing.
And adorable.
And their hair is already much longer.

Look at how cute they are:
Micah is in the front. This is from a few days ago, and their cheeks have only gotten chubbier since this picture was taken.

And they'll be even cuter snuggled up in their own bed for once.

Congratulations! We've been blog stalker you ever since Jade's Mom told us you were close to having Twins! Not sure if you remember us the short time we were in the Buafflo ward together or not.... but our parents know eachother! I see you have in-laws with triplets! I'm sure she'll have tons of great tips for you! I was able to nurse my triplets for 8 months- so if you ever are having any difficulty and need some help- your parents I'm sure can get you my telephone number. I'm a nurse in an emergency room- so if won't embarrass me at all! I've mastered twin and triplet feedings- and my babies were premature- and that does make a difference when nursing. If you want to bottle feed- keep a small crocket pot, half full of water, set on low- that way you can warm 2 bottles at once. wash baby socks in lingerie bag- then you'll never have to look to far to find the other sock, and get to clothing baskets- one white colored and one colored- tell everyone put white in white basket and colored clothes in colored basket, less sorting time and it adds up because you laundry load just tripled! I hope I've not already over stepped my bounds. We are excited for you! We know that feeling- YAY we finally have them home..... And then they start to cry and there is NO NICU nurse there to help you! Sleep when they sleep. If you are having helpers-over - unless you need to sleep- make a list of things you need done around the house and that way when someone comes over- you can just hand them the list and say- doing anything on this list would be really helpful. I slept on the floor with the babies besides me for about 6 months- you can see all those photos on our blog! Good luck, have fun, remember at 3 am that you still love eachother, and sleep when those babies are sleeping! Mother to Mother- your body is still recovering too!
