Just One Perfect Baby

Recently, as my other children ran around the house like whiney, screaming maniacs - destroying the things we worked hard to buy for them, and generally being terrible (okay - I do really, really love them and they're usually quite good! But sometimes...)

I sat on the couch, snuggling this perfect baby. He just smiles around, talks all the time, watches us happily, and never cries and is always perfect.
Travis, of course, was dealing with the children who are slightly less perfect, and cried out, "Why do you even want more kids? Aren't these guys birth control?"
Um. No. Because I have one perfect baby. He is chubby, and sweet. He sleeps well, he cough-laughs, and he was perfect on the plane to Minnesota with no vomiting on everyone around us (like some children I know.)
Every time I look at this sweet little man, I think, "I want one hundred babies exactly like August." He is the opposite of birth control.

(But, that being said - just to be clear- I am definitely not pregnant and probably won't be for quite a while.)

Every time I look at this picture above (on the left), my stomach flip-flops and I get a little weak in the knees knowing that this sweet, beautiful child is mine forever.
Just stop it. Stop. It's too cute to even be real.

And yes, you read that right! We are in Minnesota. I am so excited to spend time with all my family and introduce my three handsome, funny, snuggly, good boys to everyone I love here.
I'm sure I'll be back with lots of pictures and happy stories soon.

Oh, also: Happy Independence Day. I'm probably going to go find a carnival somewhere and eat a Pronto Pup and cheese curds. (That's Minnesota talk for corn dogs, and deep-fried balls of cheese.)

Freedom! America! (Despite my frivolity on the subject, I am very grateful for this beautiful country and our service men and women, etc. I'll probably write another post about it sometime - when I'm not feeling so annoyed with government. I'm going to go ahead and blame them for all my troubles.)
I got off topic.
The point of this blog post is to say: My baby is the best and most beautiful baby of ALL the babies.
