Ma Ingalls: Part 2

Remember that post from like three hours ago when I said I wanted to be like Ma Ingalls?
She would never be as lazy as I have been.
Here are the things I’ve done today:
Take a bath.
Lie in bed.

[End of list.]
I did not make myself any food that was wasn’t a PB&J sandwich, an ice cream Sundae, or reheated stew.
I did not fold the laundry that his been sitting in our dryer for days.
I did not go Visiting Teaching, like I promised I would.
I did not clean the dishes in our kitchen.

Are you saying to yourself, “Why Becky, it’s only 3:30. You still have time to do all those things before Travis gets home from work?”

Stop saying such crazy things to yourself.

I will not do them!
I will continue to sit in my bed.
At least I’m clean.
And full of ice cream.
I’m so tired.

Ma Ingalls was treking west in a covered wagon when she was pregnant. Nothing against you, just saying, she was pretty super.

Ice cream intake and productivity and inversely proportional. Easily available ice cream would have destroyed Ma Ingalls, you should be proud you were able to stay awake. I know I'm proud of you.

PS. I think you should start selling some "WWMID" t-shirts within a fortnight

Oh good! I'm glad you don't think I'm a psycho freak. One thing I've learned is that if you're friends with Celia, you must be cool. ;)

But really, I know when I was pregnant, I wanted to know everything. Hopefully you found some useful stuff on my blog, but if you have any questions or want to chat about anything, just let me know!

Oh and the "at least I'm clean" comment made me laugh. There were (are) some days that I can't even honestly say that...

I had to laugh at both your Ma Ingalls post. Too funny! Sometimes you got to do what ya got to do! I, for example, was hauling around 2yr olds, while I was big a pregnant with DJ. It was unavoidable, since I had 3 of them!! But you learn to listen to you body. I knew when I couldn't do anymore. I learned not to push it and everything turned out fine! Anyways, I remember those days of laying in bed and drinking lots of milk shakes to feed those babies...those were the days!! ha ha! Take it easy!
