When blog friends become real friends

My grandma is cool. She has a popular blog with over a hundred followers and gets like a dozen comments on every post.
For years she's been making friends on the blogosphere and sending them packages and meeting up with them and I thought she was craaaazy.
You don't know those people. You met online. DON'T YOU WATCH DATELINE?
But now I know what I've been missing, because since I started this blog I've made real friends through it.
Two of whom I have seen this week.
Which is awesome.

Enter Brittany.
We started writing comments on each other's blogs and then emailing each other with twin-questions, which led to me spontaneously inviting her to my baby shower.
Which she attended.
Which was surprising.

Since then we've hung out a few times, but never with all four babies.
Until yesterday.
Let's just say it was twinsanity.
Okay. Bad pun. It was regular insanity, but with twins.
Brittany's girls are screeeeeeeamers. Happy screams, sad screams, "I'm in the hallway and am lost" screams.
The boys didn't mind until nap time. Then they were mad. They were tired. And those girls just kept screaming. I finally picked them up and went to stand in the bathroom with the lights off and the fan on and after about a minute of that - badda bing, badda boom.
Those babies were pretty unconscious.
And they slept for like four hours.
I guess the Mangleson twins wore them out.
And I got a glimpse into my future. I think our house needs to be more baby proof.

The second blog friend I have no pictures of, sadly.
But, after reading about my horrible weight-loss and non-eating habits Kristin wrote me an email and then showed up at my house with food.
Which has been AMAZING. Especially this week, since Travis is gone, because I've been eating good food several times a day.
Which is a big deal.

Seriously. These girls are awesome.
(All four of them.)

Yay! I'm so glad I got the nerve to go to your baby shower and that we're friends. And I think I should get muzzles for my girls. That's probably child abuse though, so maybe not...

I need to come over again soon. Without the babies. Although, it was pretty entertaining having two sets of twins in an apartment. :)

what adorable little girls, and Becky and the boys just need to get used to noise, babies that only sleep when its quiet are really hard to take places or have company over. It is better if they learn to live with a little noise. I know, I'm preaching again, but it will make life easier, I promise.

Ha - Kristin lives 2 doors down from me and she totally would do that! She is too awesome. Since you know my friend, that makes us friend, right? :)

lol Hi dani!! (*waves*)
Glad you liked the food! Sorry Travis is gone. That's too lame. P.S. we left your apartment and my husband said "I want glasses like him" <--meaning Travis. So we're going glasses shopping. You're welcome to let your husband know he's a trend setter. lol.

Note to my Mom. Becky may have the loudest apartment ever. See post below.

The bathroom idea is genius! I may have to borrow that when my monster fights sleep.

I understand the baby proofing. My niece is 5 months older than Emery and whens he comes over she's into EVERYTHING! makes me realize how much there is to baby proof that you probably never even imagined could come off and be stuck into mouths. YIPES!

Okay, Becky, I am such a blog stalker. And I usually like to fly under the radar, but I HAD to comment! You are so funny (and I don't blog because of all the reasons you listed in your last post), but I like to secretly read every single post you ever posted, but I had to comment on this one. 1) Your boys are cute 2) you are hilarious 3)I know Kristin! We were in our Freshman ward together (hi Kristin...even though you probably don't remember me. 4)I miss reading your novel in Carol's class, and your blog totally makes up for it.
