Bundled up babies

Grey and Micah have hitherto been in an isolette, which is a crib that has a lid, so you can monitor the temperature inside.
However, the nurses are trying to get the boys used to regular ol’ air, which means –because of their low body fat, and inability to regulate their temperatures like adults- (still pretty good though) they have to really bundle the boys up.
First they put a shirt on them, then they wrap them each in a blanket, and then they lay another blanket over both of them.
Lastly, they put goofy hats on them.
Really goofy little hats.

My babies are silly. They look like this:

Don't forget Jack made hats for the boys! They might need to wear two hats if they wear Jack's hat, but still Harry Potter colors you can't go wrong with that. They look so sweet! I love it.

Our girls wore those hats too. It's amazing to look at them now and see how little they were. This year we didn't have a tree topper for our Christmas tree, so we used one of the hats. It crazy to see how even a few months later, there's NO way we could even pretend they would fit them. Insane.

Xander was like them when he was born and he couldn't keep his body temp up either. He had a cute hat like that too! I still have it in a keepsake box! They are so adorable in their hats! This post brought back so many good memories~ thank you for the smile!
