Duck Pond

There is a duck pond very near to our home, where I occasionally walk with the boys.
However, shortly after the weather started getting nice (a month or two ago) I took the boys to the duck pond by myself, and then let them out of their stroller to see the ducks.
Thirty seconds later (not a joke) I was holding Micah upside down over the pond, because I managed to grab him by the ankle as he threw himself head first towards the ducks. HOLYCRAP. That is not an exaggeration.
It was horrifying. I started crying and immediately loaded the boys back into their stroller, we waved goodbye to the ducks, and hadn't been back since.
I just can't handle two fearless, duck-crazed toddlers by myself.
But over the weekend, with Travis to accompany me, we took the boys back to the pond and they went crazy! They loved it so much!
Immediately Micah started saying, "Duck! Duck! Cack, cack! Duck!" Both of which are things that I've never heard them say before.

Grey said Duck a few times, but was too busy chasing the ducks all over the grass.  He did whisper "cack, cack, cack" under his breath though, whenever he was standing still. It was pretty freaking cute.

The pond is up on campus, so the ducks are very used to people and some will even come up and eat out of your hand, if you're brave enough to offer them food that way (we forgot to bring bread!), but that meant that the boys got really, really close before the ducks waddled away from them, and Micah and I even managed to trick one duck into letting us touch his bill.  (Then the duck realized that we didn't have food and he was mad, but whatevs, duck.)

We saw so many baby ducks, and even a nest full of eggs, but the boys weren't interested in them and I didn't get any cute baby duck pictures. Unless we're talking about Greyduck, which is my baby Grey.  'Cause I definitely got some cute pics of him.

The babies were happy playing and chasing the ducks for a really long time, and it made me SO EXCITED to go to the zoo or a farm this summer.  I can't wait!
Do you guys have any other suggestions of animal-centered activities or places to visit that I can find for my boys?

I'd love a vote!
