My pretty new quilt

A few months after the babies were born, I started feeling the need to be more productive. Making a quilt was perfect, because I could sew a little, even if it was only for five minutes, and then set it down and not need to worry about it.
I could be creative and make something pretty, but it also required very little thinking or effort.
I finished sewing and piecing the top of this quilt (which is gigantic enough for our bed!) a few months ago, and FINALLY sent it to my grandma Mary, who quilted it for me.
("Quilting" a quilt is the swirly, top-stitch over everything. It holds the batting and backing to the top piece.)
Luckily my other Grandma is here in town now, and when I got my quilt back in the mail, she helped me bind all the edges. (Okay, she didn't help, she did it completely by herself.)
AND NOW I HAVE A PRETTY QUILT ON MY BED!
I love it.

Oh, and I made the pillowcases, too. What do you think? You can't see it in the pictures, but the pillowcases each have a 2 inch strip of leftover quilt fabric on the edges. (You can see it in {this picture}.)

I'd love a vote! Thanks!
