This goofy picture makes me smile so much, because this is the expression that August almost always has on his face when we're outside. He wants to open his eyes and look at us - but it's too bright! So he usually ends up in a winky squint.
Today August is one month old! Honestly, he's still not much different than he was as a newborn.
He nurses every three hours, he poops every diaper change, he sleeps most of the night (between feedings) and flits in and out of wakefulness through out the day.
He very rarely cries, but he does grunt and growl a lot. He can follow us with his eyes, but still has difficulty focusing on things.
We've seen a few little smiles, but he isn't really entertained by us yet.
August is very strong, and though he gets tired holding his head up by himself for very long, or standing on our laps- he can do it!
He's also rolled over three times! He can't do it intentionally- but he'll do it if I lie him down and he's angry, just by thrashing around. He's rolled twice from his back to stomach and once from his stomach to his back.
I haven't weighed him about a week and a half, but last time he was weighed, he'd managed to gain two pounds since birth- so I think it's a safe guess to say that he's over 11 pounds by now!
We love this cute boy (obviously), and it feels like I was just moaning about still having to be pregnant. But he's already a month old! Hopefully he'll just keep being perfect and sweet and soon he'll decide to sleep through the night. :)

I'm sure he will continue to be perfect. That's what little boys do. Gotta love 'em!
If he continues to make the winky squinty face which is the best thing I've ever seen he is a shoe-in for perfect.
Oh. my. gosh. He is so handsome!!!! Both times I've seen him in person, he's been asleep! I love that first picture!!
